Advanced computer tools

In this course, students will learn advanced computer tools for use in engineering, including Matlab, Mathematica, Latex, Git, Ansys, and SALOME. Students will learn the basics of programming in Mathematica, Matlab, and C++. For each tool, they will learn what problems can be solved by it,  and how to use it tool effectively. Students will also learn the basics of Linux, how to use these tools on a UL FME supercomputer, and what computational problems they can solve with parallel computing and how to do this effectively with a supercomputer.
